I used to live in Wayne about 25 years ago, but wasn't into gardening then, so I didn't know about this place. I'm presuming it's been around at least that long!

island gardener--- Thanks for stopping by. The estate was there, but did not open to the public till 1993. I lived in Wayne briefly in 1987.

I love the non-orange poppies, but have trouble keeping them going.

Is that a catulpa I see?

Karen--- coming from one who takes most wonderful photos, your comment makes me smile.

Your photos are beautiful, Wayne! I especially like all of the stonework and the texture you show. In that stonework underneath the pot, are those old roof tiles or something? Or just thin flat stones laid on end? Either way, I love them used like that.

Blackswamp Girl--- couldn't tell you about the stones. The garden showed how the students how aamzing gardens can be.

That's wonderful, Wayne. Especially, the photos of the foliage look great. BTW, what's that third photo from top?

Chandramouli-- nothing was labeled, I would guess it was a Bromeliad...
